Auerbach Berlin
At AUERBACH Berlin you can watch traditional artisans behind the scenes as they work the toile to create distinguished neckties
Handicraft becomes tangible
Rooted in authentic tradition, AUERBACH Berlin attaches supreme importance to sustainability, quality and skill. AUERBACH Berlin supplies the gentleman’s essential accessories: neck ties and bow ties off the peg and bespoke, pocket squares, cummerbunds, braces, stockings and right now face masks. In keeping with a long history, this tie-making is a cottage industry.
Auerbach Berlin was founded in 2015 by Jan-Henrik Maria Scheper-Stuke and his godfather Günther H. Stelly. This authentic manual craft can be experienced in the manufactory. Its Art Déco interior is a conscious reference to the style of the golden twenties – the age of bohemians, salons and coffee houses. Visitors are transported back into another era, the Berlin of the 1920s, when it was perfectly natural to drop in on a bespoke tailor, pick one’s own fabrics and patterns, and take home a personal treasure.
